Weight Management Program

Medically Supervised Weight Management



This is a comprehensive 3 months weight management program that blends Endocrinology, Metabolism, Physiotherapy, Nutrition and Fitness solutions to help you manage your weight through a healthier lifestyle.

The program is designed and run by Dr. Roshani Sanghani, American Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, who has over 15 years of experience in metabolism and weight management, including caring for patients with complicated medical conditions like diabetes, PCOS, obesity and thyroid disorders. In addition, our team consists of physiotherapist Dr Rajani Patil, a nurse, sports nutritionist and emotional counselor who are available for ongoing follow-up and support.

This program will help you:

We understand that long-term change take time, effort, courage and practice. We are committed to supporting the journey for our participants over the long-term as per their individual needs. Our goal at Aasaan Health Solutions is to help you achieve optimal health with the least amount of medication.


The program includes:

  • Initial in-depth consultation with Dr Roshani Sanghani
  • Initial and follow-up nutrition evaluation
  • Initial and follow-up physiotherapy evaluation
  • First 4 weeks, 4 interactive group sessions of 2 hours each, once a week:
    • 90 minutes session by Dr Roshani on weight management in group workshop format, run by Dr Roshani
    • 30 minutes exercise session by Dr Rajani
  • Subsequent 8 weeks of ongoing support from the Aasaan Health Solutions team via phone, online +/- telephonic assessment with troubleshooting and motivation. We coach participants on common challenges so they become their own expert to stay on track for the long-term.


This program is designed for people who are:

  • Feeling tired, fatigued, exhausted or lethargic
  • Mildly to moderately overweight/obese
  • Committed to better health with gradual weight loss
  • Ready to adapt a sustainable long-term path of self-care without yo-yo dieting
  • Feeling their metabolism is slowing down



  • Medical assessment of contributors to weight gain including hormonal conditions, medications, fatigue, surgery or other medical history
  • Identifying potential challenges to weight loss efforts, example, household responsibilities, travel schedules, work routine, physical limitations, geographic concerns, sleep issues, stress, beliefs/past experiences/difficult emotional situations
  • Education on how hormones affect hunger, energy and fatigue taught in easy to understand way


  • A detailed diet history and eating pattern
  • Food journalling
  • Mythbusting of diet rules, address concerns about calorie counting
  • Teaching carbohydrates, proteins, fats and how they affect appetite
  • Learning how to balance simple versus complex carbohydrates, find protein in most meals and reach nutritional targets without needing complex diet rules


  • Assessment of current exercise routines, past attempts, what has worked or not worked and why
  • Assessment of current physical activity levels, body types, preferred mode of exercise
  • Focus on endurance, strength, flexibility, balance and core strength
  • Ideas to make exercise fun, appropriate to your personality
  • Strategies to fit exercise into daily routine
  • Correct footwear for each exercise/fitness regime
  • Education about forms of exercise and their benefits: cardiovascular/flexibility/strength

Behavioral Support

  • Eating due to stress, emotions, boredom, social situations
  • Encouraging self-selected approaches that one can continue for the long-term
  • Teaching how to get back on track after occasional setbacks/mistakes
  • Identifying next steps in the self-care journey, while the weight management skills continuously get better
  • Motivating participants to develop a solution oriented mindset not just in eating but in life
