If you have pre-diabetes, a history of gestational diabetes or a family history of diabetes, we can work with you to optimize your health. The Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) study has clearly shown that a 7 % weight loss and 150 minutes of exercise a week is the most effective way to prevent type 2 diabetes. We coach you through these important lifestyle changes.

We also are passionate about working with families of young children to treat and prevent childhood obesity so as to reduce diabetes risk in the next generation.

Gestational Diabetes / Diabetes in Pregnancy

Diabetes is very important to control in pregnancy.

We aim for tight control of glucose levels before and during pregnancy, to increase chances of a healthy uncomplicated pregnancy, delivery and healthy baby. We will be actively involved in your nutrition and exercise plans to reduce the need for prescriptions in pregnancy and avoid excessive weight gain during pregnancy.

If you need insulin in pregnancy, we have the expertise to ensure you are well looked-after. We will coordinate with whoever is your treating Obstetrician so that your care is smooth and hassle-free.
